About Cale Pellick

Born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, Cale Pellick relocated to Louisiana in 1992 to study saxophone at the University of New Orleans. Under the tutelage of many jazz greats such as Ellis Marsalis, Victor Goines, Ed Petersen and Steve Masakowski, Cale graduated from their esteemed jazz studies program as a saxophone major in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Upon his return to the same institution on full scholarship, Cale attained his Masters of Music degree on drumset in 2006.



Cale has had many highlights in his music career which include performing and recording with many of the finest musicians New Orleans has to offer. He has performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on drums, accordion and saxophone. In 1997 he appeared (on drums) with the featured jazz ensemble in Paramount Pictures release “Double Jeopardy.” As a producer, he demonstrates his studio skills on two of Burke Ingraffia’s releases: "Independence, Louisiana,",and "Good." and Caleo’s “Color the Flowers.” Cale's new solo release 'In The Loop' is a collection of 13 original compositions and loops which feature some of Louisiana's top vocalists and was mixed by Grammy award winner Steve Reynolds.

House of Blues

Cale is currently the Music Director for the International House of Blues Foundations' "Blues Schoolhouse" program in New Orleans.
